A Year of Community: Therapinxy Year-in-Review

This year has been about connection, care, and building something meaningful with community, not just for it. As a values‑led organization rooted in collective care, kapwa, and liberation our work to create stronger mental health resources that are culturally responsive deepened in 2025 in ways that went beyond numbers and metrics. Every part of this work exists because of you the staff, advisory board members, community members, leaders, committee members, collaborators, and supporters who helped make support easier to find, safer to connect into, and more reflective of real lived experiences.

A Year Shaped by Community Engagement

2025 was a year where listening mattered. When community members shared insights, concerns, or suggestions, we didn’t just take notes, we let those voices help shape what came next. Whether through resource feedback, event participation, or by amplifying the work with your networks, your engagement was the engine that moved this work forward.

This work exists because of community: shaped by your voices, your guidance, and your care. When people see themselves reflected in the resources, access becomes more meaningful!

We saw more people finding support through our mental health tools and cultural directory, not by chance, but because of ongoing conversations about what people actually need. From newcomers navigating care for the first time to seasoned community advocates searching for culturally grounded providers, your input helped make our offerings more relevant, accessible, and trustworthy.

Building Together: Resources, Directory, and Community Chapters

This year, we focused on integrating mental health resources with our cultural directory so that seeking care feels less like a maze and more like a guided path. We’ve continued to refine categories, expand representation, and update listings to ensure the directory reflects diverse identities, languages, and healing traditions.

Our community chapters grew as spaces for connection, learning, and mutual support, whether regionally focused or centered around shared identities. Events weren’t just events; they became meaningful spaces where people connected hearts, shared stories, and found solidarity.

Strengthening the Foundation

Behind the scenes, we’ve been doing essential work to strengthen our foundation. We took intentional steps to clarify internal processes, build organizational structure, and grow our fundraising capacity, not for growth alone, but to ensure that this work is sustainable, carried with care, and capable of evolving alongside community needs.

We remain transparent about where we are still growing, what gaps we are addressing, and how we are learning from what doesn’t work as well as we hoped. This honesty is not a weakness, it is a commitment to accountability and trust.

What We’ve Learned and What’s Next

If this year taught us anything, it’s that community‑informed work truly changes outcomes. When people see themselves reflected in the resources, language, and leadership opportunities available to them, access becomes more meaningful. We’re committed to continuing this evolution, remaining flexible, responsive, and open to change.

In the year ahead, we will continue strengthening existing resources, expanding shared leadership opportunities, and responding more intentionally to community‑identified needs. Alongside this, we are building the fundraising and capacity needed to sustain this work with integrity and care.

Gratitude and Forward Momentum

Whether you used a resource, attended an event, shared feedback, or simply spread the word… THANK YOU, MARAMING MARAMING SALAMAT!!! Your presence, participation, and care make this community what it is. This work is not just about providing resources; it’s about building connection, affirming dignity, and supporting collective well‑being. To read our year-end report, check it out here.

We are deeply grateful for every contribution, big and small, and for the trust you place in this work. This work exists because of community: shaped by your voices, your guidance, and your care. When people see themselves reflected in the resources, access becomes more meaningful! As we continue into the next year, we carry forward lessons learned, relationships strengthened, and a deeper commitment to equity, access, and Kapwa‑centered care.
