About
Hi, I'm Rosalie Maduro (she/her), a Filipino-American Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist serving clients throughout California and Utah.
If you're considering therapy for the first time, or returning after time away, I want you to know: you don't have to have it all figured out before you reach out. My hope is to offer a space where you feel welcomed, respected, and understood, wherever you're starting from.
I work with adults, couples, adolescents, and families navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, burnout, life transitions, relationship challenges, and questions of identity and belonging. Many of my clients are balancing multiple roles and expectations, feeling pulled in different directions, or carrying experiences they've managed on their own for a long time.
As a Filipino-American therapist, I understand that many of us grow up with values that emphasize family, responsibility, resilience, and caring for others. These strengths can help us thrive, but they can also make it difficult to slow down, acknowledge our own needs, or ask for support. For many in our community, therapy may feel unfamiliar or even intimidating, and that's why I strive to create a space that feels collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded in genuine connection.
My path here was anything but traditional. I began my career as a mechanical engineer before spending more than two decades as a consultant, entrepreneur, and team leader. That path taught me how to help people navigate change, uncertainty, and complex relationships, and those are skills I bring into the therapy room.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and integrative. I draw from somatic therapy, EMDR, narrative therapy, and mindfulness to understand experiences through the lens of mind, body, and story. Together, we explore not only what happened, but how those experiences continue to shape the way you think, feel, relate, and move through the world today. Healing isn't only about understanding yourself. It's about discovering new ways of responding to yourself, your relationships, and the challenges you face.
While I have a special appreciation for the experiences of Filipino, AAPI, and multicultural communities, I welcome clients from all backgrounds and identities. Therapy is not about changing who you are. It is about creating space to understand yourself more fully and to live in greater alignment with what matters most to you.
If this feels like the kind of support you're looking for, I'd be honored to connect. If you'd like to learn more before reaching out, you're welcome to explore my website at rosaliemadurotherapy.com.
