About

HI! I'm Miko the Medium, and I work spirit to bring relief to physical and mental pain while helping you see your path.

I offer compassionate pricing for the elderly, the terminally ill, and the undocumented.

In traditional Filipino medicine, hilot, every physical problem is rooted in a deep emotional issue. While pressing on energy centers on your body, which looks and feels like a massage, it also infuses you with universal energies and increases blood circulation to speed healing. People often find a great emotional release in this process. It's quite similar to acupuncture in this way!

Part of my treatment is talking to spirits and ancestors, to see your karma, your life's mission, and your energies, and relay messages deceased family or spirit guides may offer.

A little about me. I was born and raised in the US to Filipino parents. Having witnessed 9/11, I joined the Army as a medic to treat others' injuries even if I disagreed with the Iraq war. I returned with severe physical and psychological issues. While the Veteran Affairs gave me every peer-reviewed treatment, I was never satisfied -- until I turned inward to spirit to heal my emotional wounds.

Years of navigating Western medicine have shown me its wonderful strengths, but also its limits. It was then that I embarked on a journey of energy healing and mediumship. Now, having healed myself, I can show others how to help themselves.

I have a bachelor's degree in sociology with coursework in biology (I was going to be a nurse), and a master's degree from Columbia University in Journalism. In between healing, I report on local news and help produce documentaries about the Filipino community.
