About

I value approaching therapy with a multi-faceted lens---our personal challenges are influenced by what's going on in the world as well as how we move through the world. In my case, as a queer Filipina-American with Autism and ADHD, these identities inform my understanding of my strengths as well as my struggles. My hope is to help others explore their identity, address scary issues with self-compassion, and work towards living a life centering their core values. I've worked with youth and adults experiencing trauma, depression, anxiety, and substance use issues since 2010. As a daughter of immigrants, I also enjoy working with individuals who want to push through internalized oppression, colonial mentality, and intergenerational trauma. I like to draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Although therapy backed up by science and research is important to me, what drives my overall approach is that Western modalities don't work for everyone, and healing can take on many forms.

In my personal life, I like to play video games with my two kids, watch scary movies, fantasize about costumes I'll never have the time/money to make, cooking, and sleeping.
