About
I have found renewed purpose in becoming a therapist after 23+ years as a Registered Nurse (RN). My nursing background allows me to support the whole person—physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually—while understanding how trauma, stress, and medications affect the body and mind. As a cisgender, Filipina-Canadian, Southeast Asian, middle-aged, heterosexual, able-bodied, Christian woman, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to my work.
Currently completing my Master’s in Psychospiritual Studies and formal training in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), I integrate these approaches to help clients process overwhelming emotions, connect with their inner strength, and heal at their own pace. My practice is spiritually integrated, welcoming clients who want to explore how faith or spirituality can be part of their healing journey.
As a Filipina therapist, I bring a culturally attuned lens to support Southeast Asian clients—especially those navigating intergenerational trauma, immigration stress, cultural expectations, and the quiet weight of first-generation identity. I understand how colonization, racism, and family dynamics shape our inner lives, and I offer a space where you don’t have to over-explain your culture or pain.
I specialize in racial, gender, and transgender discrimination; spiritual, emotional, and physical abuse; immigration and acculturation stress; first-generation and intergenerational trauma; and cultural disconnection. My goal is to help you feel less alone, honor all emotions—including anger, fear, and guilt—and offer a space for safety, trust, and transformation.
Outside work, I love time with my husband, our teenage boys, and our dog; Asian cuisine; bubble tea; K-dramas; karaoke; sunsets at Lake Huron; and, of course, a good pen and spontaneous Costco runs.
