About
Hi, my name is Eliza and I look forward to connecting further with my Filipino mental health community through Therapinay. Please reach out if you are looking for therapy or consulting related to my specialties of Complex PTSD and ADHD. I am passionate about improving mental health care related to these challenges.
Working as a licensed therapist since 2016, I am also experienced in addressing chronic anxiety, depressive episodes, recovery from episodes of mania and psychosis, different forms of addictions, substance abuse, eating disorders, personality disorders, and struggles related to grief and loss, life transitions, relationships, and self-esteem. In addressing these issues, I hope to support healing, overall wellbeing, and growth for clients and communities.
Regarding more of my background, I was born in Manila, Philippines, and immigrated to the United States while I was in grade school, lived briefly near Chicago, IL and mostly grew up in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. I moved to Austin, TX after graduate school, and opened my private practice, Mindfulscape in 2021. Along with being a Psychotherapist and Clinical Social Worker, I am a trained Master NARM Therapist, and a Board Director at Kasamahan.
In my personal time, I enjoy nurturing my relationships with my family of origin, family by marriage, friends, and colleagues, being outside in nature on local hikes, painting abstract landscapes, listening to podcasts, and reading and writing. Recently, I've been particularly interested in learning more about Filipino indigenous psychology, wisdom, and spirituality.
