About
As a queer Filipino American in my mid 30s, my own lived experiences with grief and loss due to intergenerational trauma and unexpected death brought me to this work. I was born in Hawaii, grew up in the Bay Area, and came to understand my identities and values in San Diego.
I am a process-oriented licensed professional clinical counselor that helps you attune to your emotions, needs, and boundaries so that you can feel more connected to yourself, your relationships, and your creativity.
My clients struggle with balancing caring for themselves while caring for others.
They describe themselves as problem solvers and peacemakers, ensuring the comfort and well-being of others while pushing important parts of themselves to the side. My clients share that this leaves them feeling angry, exhausted, stuck, and self-critical. They want to express this, but hesitate due to the belief that they will be rejected, abandoned, and a burden to others.
The roles and cycles you find yourself in don’t have to be permanent. Therapy with me is a space where the thoughts, feelings, and parts of yourself that you work hard to contain and keep hidden can be met with acceptance and compassion. As a therapist who is honest and intentional, my role is to help you process what helped you navigate life before and practice what can help you experience life in the present.
Special welcome to those grieving due to unexpected death and loss and men who are finding it difficult to “keep it together” through life transitions.
