Hello, my name is Stella Jesselle (she/her) — like many others from the Philippines, I have two first names! I was born in Cebu City in the Philippines and moved to Vancouver, Canada when I was two years old. I worked in the film and theatre industries as a props master and set decorator and then found myself in the tech industry as a data processor. While I learned a lot and genuinely enjoyed my time in both work forces, neither would satisfy my drive to help serve the communities that I care about. I am currently working at the Health and Home Care Society of BC as a Digital Media & Office Coordinator of their Meals on Wheels program.

Dr. Therapin*y has been a fantastic resource to help me confront intergenerational trauma, reconnect with my culture, and even direct me to my Bisaya tutor to relearn my mother tongue. I'm very excited to join this team and help make mental health healing more accessible to our Fil-Am/Fil-Can communities!
