Renee obtained her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Religious Studies at California State University, Long Beach with an aim to better understand diverse, intersectional identities and how to best serve them. Afterwards they earned their Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at San Jose State University. Renee is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with previous experience working in school-based settings and community mental health. She has worked with a range of clients who experience mood disorders, identity issues, grief and loss, as well as trauma. Renee practices cultural humility and utilizes Evidence-Based Practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to aid any individual who may be struggling with their mental health. They strive to create a safe space for the exploration and growth of all identities and their goal is to empower the individual(s) to live a value-driven life.
