About
Hi there! My name is Krista (she/her) and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and doctoral candidate located in New Jersey. Through my practice, Oak & Olive Counseling, I provide individual therapy to those looking to be connected to services that are supportive, compassionate and transparent. I support my clients' mental wellness by providing services that highlight your strengths and honor you, your experiences and your environment. I operate from a trauma informed and attachment focused lens, which I use to help you organize and understand how trauma, early childhood attachments and lived experiences play a role in any present challenges.
As a bi-racial Filipina-American therapist, I use my clinical skills as a means of helping other multicultural individuals navigate through issues and concerns related to the biculturalism, attachment and childhood trauma. Currently, my academic pursuits are related to immigration, acculturation and amplifying the Filipinx-American experience.
