She currently works as a Staff Psychologist at Stanford University and has a private telehealth practice in California working with adult clients. In her free time, she loves playing mahjong, singing karaoke, and exploring the Filipino food scene in the Bay Area.
Dr. Catipon believes that personal growth and healing can be made possible through a supportive and trusting therapeutic relationship and in a safe and non-judgmental environment. It is her intention to listen from the heart and understand her clients on multiple levels, including culture, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and age. She is a firm believer that you are the expert on your life, and she works with a collaborative treatment approach that integrates your inner wisdom and her professional knowledge and experience to help you discover how to live a life that is rich and meaningful.
Dr. Catipon’s clinical areas of practice include, but are not limited to, depression and anxiety, intersectionality and racial/cultural concerns, sexual orientation and gender identity, relationships, self-esteem, spirituality, women’s issues, and life transitions. She works from a client-centered perspective that informs her integration of cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and strength-focused interventions to meet the unique needs of each individual.
