About
I am a licensed professional counselor specializing in multiracial and multicultural identity, anxiety, and trauma for adults. My approach to healing is cultural, relational, and experiential, tailored to each client’s unique needs. Identity and culture are not just considerations in therapy, they are vital in understanding my client's worldview. I believe healing happens through connection, with ourselves, our communities, and our lived experiences.
Beyond traditional talk therapy, I integrate mindfulness, somatic awareness, and creative expression to foster deeper transformation. I also incorporate psychoeducation and current research relevant to my clients' concerns, helping them build language for their emotional experiences and feel more empowered in their healing journey.
As a second-generation Filipina American, I am passionate about providing services to marginalized communities. I advocate for immigrant rights, gender-affirming care for LGBTQQIA+ individuals, sex positivity, and neurodivergent equity. My clinical practice recognizes the profound impact of racial, social, and political oppression on mental wellness, especially stress and trauma.
In addition to my private practice, I am a Ph.D. candidate in Counselor Education and Supervision at Kent State University. My dissertation focuses on expanding academic research on the experiences of multiracial and multicultural students in higher education. I am deeply committed to training and mentoring the next generation of mental health providers, which fuels my passion for academia.
I understand that reaching out for support is a big step, and I honor the courage it takes. I work collaboratively with my clients, and create a warm, affirming space where they can explore their thoughts and feelings without judgment. Together, we can work toward healing, growth, and authenticity. If you're ready, I would love to support you on your journey.
