Director of Finance & Grants
We are seeking a Director of Finance and Grants (Volunteer) to contribute their expertise in financial management and resource development to sustain and grow our impact. As the Director of Finance & Grants, you will play a pivotal role in managing our financial strategy and securing vital funding to support our programs. As a volunteer-based organization, this role is integral in ensuring sustainable operations and supporting our small, dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Oversight & Budget Management
Collaborate with the CEO to develop and oversee the annual budget in alignment with strategic goals.
Monitor financial performance and ensure compliance with organizational policies and funding requirements.
Prepare financial updates and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure accurate record-keeping of financial transactions and assist in maintaining transparency.
2. Grant Writing & Management
Identify and research grant opportunities aligned with Therapinay’s mission and programs.
Write compelling grant applications to secure funding for ongoing and new initiatives.
Manage grant reporting, ensuring timely submission of reports and adherence to donor requirements.
3. Fundraising & Resource Development
Support the creation and execution of fundraising strategies, including donor engagement and stewardship.
Collaborate on campaigns and events to diversify revenue streams and enhance organizational visibility.
4. Support to the CEO
Act as a strategic thought partner, providing financial insights and recommendations.
Assist in preparing presentations and communications for donors and community partners.
Represent Therapinay in meetings with stakeholders when required.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Background in finance, accounting, nonprofit management, or related fields.
Experience with grant writing and fundraising for nonprofits or social enterprises is preferred.
Familiarity with collective care and values-based financial practices is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
Strong financial acumen and knowledge of budgeting and reporting.
Excellent writing and communication skills, especially for grant applications and donor outreach.
Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Passionate about advancing mental health and wellness within the Filipino/a/x community.

Role Details
Time Commitment: Flexible, approximately 5–10 hours per week.
Location: Remote (virtual meetings and collaboration).
