Therapin*y Kapwa Collective Network:
Co-Lead for San Francisco Bay Area Chapter
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Co-Lead to spearhead our San Francisco Bay Area Chapter. In this role, you will collaborate with regional mental health providers, wellness providers, and be one of the go-to people for wellness resource!
Key Responsibilities
1. Uplift Therapin*y & Therapin*y Kapwa Collective Network Chapters
Advocate for mental health therapy, wellness resources, and engaging in care opportunities for our community
Advance our mission to create accessibility to mental health therapists & wellness providers
Collaborate on campaigns and events with other chapter leaders to diversify opportunities for community engagement, and enhance organizational visibility
2. Community Building
Work collaboratively with your chapter co-lead to expand our reach regionally
Strong ability to build community with other providers and leaders, a self-starter, and a passion for organizing events
3. Co-lead the chapter’s Filipino wellness movement efforts
Enhance our impact through pursuing outreach opportunities, providing wellness education, and/or holding space for wellness experiences
Brings an innovative approach and passion to event organizing
Qualifications
Leadership & Communication Skills
Proven ability to lead with empathy and inspire team members.
Experience in decision-making, conflict resolution, and fostering a supportive environment.
Ability to delegate tasks and promote shared leadership.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to discuss mental health topics in a compassionate and accessible manner.
Skilled in facilitating meetings, hosting support groups, or leading public workshops/discussions
Active listener with the ability to provide feedback constructively and empathetically.
2. Mental Health & Wellness knowledge
Genuine dedication to Therapin*y’s mission of promoting mental health and wellness experiences
Understanding of mental health topics, challenges, and advocacy practices.
Awareness of the local community's mental health needs and resources.
3. Organizational Skills
Ability to plan and execute events, workshops, and community outreach initiatives.
Strong time management and prioritization skills.
Experience working in collaborative environments that prioritize inclusivity and mutual support
Ability to build strong relationships with team members, other chapters, and community partners
4. Ethical & Wellness Standards
Commitment to upholding the organization’s values of collective care, kapwa, and liberation; and, strong insight & ability to move with integrity, accountability, and adaptability in addressing challenges with compassion
